Using the site

You may read, link to and quote the pages for any lawful purpose. Please don't try to disrupt the site or load it with automated requests at a rate that affects other visitors.

The data licence

The CSV files and the figures we calculated are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You can copy, share and build on them, including commercially, as long as you credit green-airlines.com and say if you changed them. The data downloads include citations you can copy for each dataset. The underlying source filings are works of the US federal government and carry their own terms.

Disclaimer

The figures are calculated from public airline filings and are provided as is, for information only. They aren't travel, financial, legal or environmental advice. We work to keep them accurate, but we can't promise they're complete or free of error. Some figures, including the split of regional flying between partner airlines, are estimates, and the methodology page says where.

Grades compare fuel use per passenger. They don't rate safety, service, comfort or price. CO2 figures cover burning jet fuel only, so they leave out other warming effects of flying and the emissions from making the fuel.

green-airlines.com is independent. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any airline, aircraft maker or government agency. Airline names are used only to identify the companies the data describes.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from relying on the information on this site.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the foot of the page shows when the site was last updated.
